About Us
The Accessible India Campaign (AIC) is a nationwide flagship campaign of the Government of India, which was launched on 3 December 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The main objective of this campaign is to make public places and transportation systems more accessible for persons with disabilities in order to ensure their participation in all aspects of life. This includes making physical infrastructure such as roads, buildings, transport services etc., information and communication technologies like websites, mobile applications etc., and other social facilities available to them without any discrimination or exclusion. AIC also aims at creating an enabling environment where people with disabilities can live independently and participate actively in society.
