Working since 1945, The Central Water Commission has been working closely with Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Project alongwith the guidance of the Government of India. Central Water Resources has a number of tasks at hand, most of which are around irrigation, hydroelectric power generation, water supply and distribution etc. The organisation also has to stay in regular communication with other state governments and institutions and inform in case of imminent threats and concerns.
