Cabinet Secretariat

The Cabinet Secretariat is the administrative arm of the Government of India and plays a pivotal role in the decision-making process. It acts as an interface between the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and other ministries/departments, ensuring that all decisions taken by PMO are implemented effectively across government departments. The Cabinet Secretariat also provides support to various committees constituted by the Prime Minister or any other minister for policy formulation and implementation. Additionally, it coordinates with state governments on matters related to national security, foreign affairs, economic policies etc., while providing secretarial assistance to cabinet meetings.
