Established in 2008, The Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT) is central public educational institute that stands out as one of the most unique research institutes of India. By the joint coalition of Indian Government and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MoHRD), CICT was formed to perform extensive research on the language and roots of Classical Tamil. The language has a prominence in the Indian Culture and the government realised it needs to explored to a level where it can create a disrupt.
