Madhya Pradesh Pashim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Limited was incorporated on 01 July, 2002 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh for undertaking various activities related to distribution and retail supply of electricity on behalf of State Electricity Board, Madhya Pradesh. It is a wholly owned corporation of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Only operational activities are handled by MPPKVVCL and all the assets and liabilities are serviced by the State Electricity board itself. The main aim of setting up of MPPKVVCL was to facilitate the process of reform and reorganization and bringing in economy and efficiency in the operational activities of electricity sector.
