Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) is a prominent coal producing unit located in Sambalpur. Established in 1992, MCL works under direct supervision of the Government of Indian and Ministry of Coal in the areas of coal mining and mine research and development of efficient techniques for extracting coal more economically. MCL also has collaborated with private players to intensify the extraction and acquisition approach and reap the maximum benefits for the Government.
