National Institute of Fashion Technology is premier fashion institute that is funded and managed by the Indian Government and the Ministry of Textiles. NIFT began its academic courses in 1968 with a lot of assistance from Fashion Institute of Technology, New York as they guided them in creating a proper work and study schedule to not allow curriculum be a hindrance in the path of creativity and innovation. Student can pursue degree in fashion and textile, merchandising and fashion communication in one of the 15 campuses located in India. Alumni Network includes prominent designers like Ritu Beri, Sabyasachi Mukherji and Rohit Bal.
