-National Institute of Technology state, Surathkal is found in Mangalore town, state State, India. The Institute was established as state Regional Engineering school (KREC) in 1960, and upgraded as National Institute of Technology state (NITK) in 2002. Mangalore is that the headquarters of the coastal district of Dakshina South Dravidian, and boasts a vital centre of education, business and interchange the
state. Sri. U. Srinivasa Mallya, a visionary and a giver, contributed vastly to the event of the coastal region of state, and his effort towards institution of KREC (now NITK) is that the most vital one. In recognition of his role because the founder and designer of the institute, the field premises is called once him as Srinivasnagar.
