About Us

Northern Railway is one of the 17 railway zones in India and is headquartered at New Delhi. It covers a large area, including parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir states. Northern Railways operates over 11000 trains daily with more than 7000 stations across its network. The zone has been divided into five divisions – Ambala Division, Firozpur Division, Lucknow NR Division , Moradabad Division and Delhi Division for administrative purposes. Northern Railway also provides various services such as online ticket booking facility through IRCTC website or mobile app; freight transportation service; parcel delivery service etc., to make travel easier for passengers.
