Greetings from The Scindia School, Fort!

Housed in the 300 ft. high hill fort in Gwalior, the all-boys Scindia School was established in 1897 as the Sardar’s School by Maharaja Madhavrao Jayajirao Scindia of Gwalior to educate sons of the princedom’s nobility. Modelled on England’s best public schools, over the past century, The Scindia School has evolved into a 21st century boarding school offering a unique blend of academics, co-curricular, sports and life skills education to its 550 students mentored by 60 well qualified teachers. In the Education World India School Rankings of 2019-20 & 2020-21, this class VI-XII all boys’ school was ranked #1 in India in Boys Boarding Schools category. Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the school’s prominent alumni include Ameen Sayani - legendary radio artist; Lt. Gen.
