West Bengal Biodiversity Board was constituted on 16th September 2004 under Government of West Bengal's Department. of Environment. The board was formed to ensure proper implementation of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002.It confers legal purview to restrictions on usage of biological resources of the State by the Indian citizens. WBBB is headquartered at Poura Bhavan, Salt Lake, Kolkata.
