·Plan and align seasonal category wise– Sku wise merchandising plans, monitor product level sell throughs, do timely interventions to drive targeted sell-thru.
·Plan and manage rolling product forecasts basis which product purchase, imports and days of stock are managed in effective and efficient manner.
·Category and product wise to breakup monthly targets and distribute the buying for the month accordingly
·To review costings category wise to ensure targeted GP for the category is met. To flag negative deviations from the targeted GP
·Inventory Management: To prepare & do periodic review of yearly projections - value wise, quantity wise. Manage stock levels/ minimum instances of wrong stock pile-up. SKU wise analysis of best sellers and slow movers across the regions. Best before stocks liquidation& discussion with business team on discounts and promotion calendar
·Vendor Management: Identifying new vendors, vendor assessment before purchase of new products for all licenses / certifications etc, help in expanding product development with a vendor, preliminary discussions including cost negotiations with vendors,Cost negotiation based on MOQs and range
·Estimate sales potential for each new product recommended including which stores, what offtake and approximate business value generated
·Production and Quality Control: Follow-up of QC reports and transaction certificates before next order is placed with the vendor
·Market Coordination and Competitive Analysis: Competitors brand wise analysis. Monitor competitive pricing data and recommend price changes basis category wise product line-up
·Display and promotion of different products in varied outlets to understand marketing techniques
·Plan on Photo-shoots with Franchisor team for sampling for market presentations and for DL Trackers/ B2C
·To visit stores regularly and support on product training of store team along with the Training dept.
·Interact directly with store teams and BHAs to handle queries, customer complaints etc. and advise them on effective handling of customers
·To develop product communication cards for customers and marketing collaterals for market promotions along with communications dept
·2- 3 years of experience as a Merchandise Manager
·Should be willing to travel 10+ days in a month.
·Should be able to handle pressure.
