Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force is a multi-task Indian force guarding the Indian border along the Tibetan Autonomous region of China. This border spreads over 3490 kilometers from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh at an altitude range of 9000-18550 feet above sea level in the Western, Middle & Eastern Sector of Indo-China Border. The soldiers and officers of ITBP are specially trained Mountaineers and Skiers. The border line under ITBP observes severe storms, snow blizzards, landslides, and avalanches. Indo-Tibetan border Police was incorporated in October, 1962 for Protecting Indo-China Border.
