The Etihad Cancellation Policy is nothing more than an Etihad Customer Agreement that complies with certain terms or conditions set by the Etihad Airways Authority for the convenience of the customer.

If the booking is canceled within 24 hours of booking at least 7 days before the scheduled departure date, passengers can get a full refund. However, once the cancellation is confirmed, the process cannot be reversed.
Before canceling, passengers must ensure that their tickets are returned, not used, or exchanged. Tickets must also be purchased with the same credit card issued more than 5 days ago.
If less than 2 hours are left, passengers cannot cancel the ticket. If the passenger cancels the ticket within 96 hours of departure, an additional 10% will be applied at the applicable cancellation price.
The amount of the return depends on the fare rules applicable to the ticket at the time of booking. However, Etihad non-refundable tickets do not apply for cancellation refunds.
Refunds will be credited to the credit card used to purchase the ticket. Refunds can take up to 14 to 30 business days to process and can be displayed on the cardholder's card/bank statement.

The Guest Services Charge (GSF) applies when refunds are made through the Etihad Contact Center or Etihad Local Offices.
Refunds are waived in the event of the death of a passenger or immediate family member. But official documentation will be required.
In the event that an airline cancels a flight, you are entitled to compensation for the canceled Etihad flight - € 400 (3500 km or less for all flights) or € 600 (all flights over 3500 km).
