UPSC IES/ISS Examination Pattern

UPSC IES/ISS Examination Pattern Union Public Service Commission conducts Indian Economic Service IES and Indian Statistical service ISS exam jointly every year for the recruitment of deserving candidates to various government departments and organizations where economic/statistics experts are needed. UPSC usually conducts this examination in the month of Nov/Dec every year. Part-I Candidates need to appear for the following papers Questions in all these papers are essay type Indian Economic Service IES aGeneral English- 100 Marks bGeneral Studies- 100 Marks cGeneral Economics-I- 200 Marks dGeneral Economics-II- 200 Marks eGeneral Economics-III- 200 Marks fGeneral Economics- 200 Marks Indian Statistical Service ISS a General English- 100 Marks b General Studies- 100 Marks c Statistics-I- 200 Marks d Statistics-II- 200 Marks e Statistics-III- 200 Marks f Statistics-IV- 200 Marks Part II Interview/ Personality Test is of 200 Marks. Final merit of the candidates is prepared on the basis of their scores in Part I Part II. Candidates in the final year of the qualifying degree exams are also eligible provisionally for the examination.
