UPSC usually conducts this examination in the month of Nov/Dec every year. UPSC conducts Engineering Service Examination for the following branch Civil Engineering. Mechanical Engineering. Electrical Engineering. Electronics Telecommunication Engineering Exam Pattern Part I- I- General Ability Test 200 Marks I I- Objective Paper I 200 Marks Objective Paper II 200 Marks III- Conventional Paper I 200 Marks Conventional Paper II 200 Marks Both Objective Conventional papers cover the entire engineering syllabus of the respective engineering Branch - Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Telecommunication Engineering. Candidate needs to score a minimum qualifying score in Objective papers for admission to Conventional Papers. Part II- Candidates who are declared qualified in Part I written examination are called for personality test/ interview. Interview carries 200 marks.
