About Us
The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is an autonomous scientific society of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. It was established in March 1988 to develop supercomputing and IT solutions that would enable India to compete globally in the field of advanced computing technologies. C-DAC has been at the forefront in developing indigenous high performance computing systems such as PARAM series computers, EKA Supercomputer, etc., which are being used by various government departments, research laboratories and universities across India. The organisation also provides a range of services including software development & consultancy services; training & education programmes; technology transfer initiatives; R&D projects with industry partners; international collaborations; e-Governance applications and more.
