The India Post serves as the birth point of Centralized Indian Institutions as it was established way back in 1774. The Indian Post is an autonomous PSU which now works under the guidance of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology which in turn reports to the Indian Government. This Government Owned PSU is the one of the largest and highly diverse postal system that has over 4.5 Lakh Employees and generate over Rs. 9300 Crores of Revenue per year. The India Post or generally known as Department of Posts provides a number of services, like Letter Post, Express Mail Service, Parcel Tansfer, Freight Delivery alongwith a number of services. Although with the advancement of technology and digital space, the use of postal services have decreased, but there are still areas that rely heavily on them.
